Giving Trees New Life
by
Recycling Them
No live trees are cut
for this operation. These have fallen in storms
or destined for the landfill or bonfire.

If you have some trees that you would like to recycle, please give me a call. I can haul them off for you, cut them up and recycle them. If you would like to have some of the lumber, I can provide that for you in any dimension you like. The mill can cut as narrow as 1/16" up to 22".

Some of the projects you can use lumber made from trees on your own property include:
  • play houses, tree forts
  • rough cut board and batten for sheds and out buildings
  • picnic tables
  • swing sets
  • benches for the garden
Here are a couple of projects I have completed using my own trees

Mary Dell asked for a bed swing for Christmas. I made this from 2 cedar trees that blew down on our property.
PictureWalker and I built this desk. This was a cut from a branch of a massive white oak tree that blew down in a storm. Most sawyers dont work with branches, but you are willing to take the time, the dense grain and knots make beautiful wood to work with.

Adam and I built this table from some white oak logs. This was actually a branch from the same white oak that Walkers desk came from.  I counted over 100 rings on a BRANCH of the oak tree. I imagine the trunk of the tree to be more than 200 years old. It deserves to live on in the form of furniture.
